Donovan Prostrollo is the director of field marketing at Calix and has been an active member of the industry for the past 15 years, collecting a vast array of communications, data networking, and service delivery experience. He joined the company’s field operations team in 2003 as a sales engineer. Prior to Calix, Prostrollo was a member of the engineering staff at Martin Group and helped telecommunications service providers make informed technology decisions. As director of field marketing, he is responsible for “hot” technology research, presentation development, industry publications and content delivery for advanced IP applications, including IPTV, VOIP, IMS, and network security. In 2006 he co-authored the book “Beyond Video … The Book on Network Transformation,” which addresses the challenges service providers face as they introduce, evolve, and unify communications services. He is a member of the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) and can often be found on the presentation circuit sharing strategic industry insights for conferences and organizations across the United States, including OPASTCO, NTCA, IP Possibilities, MTA, TelcoTV and a variety of regional tradeshows.
