With more than 25 years in the telecom industry, Bolton joined ADTRAN in 2008 as vice president of global marketing. In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of marketing for the company worldwide as well as regulatory and government affairs. Bolton has been highly involved in Washington, influencing the FCC and congressional proceedings such as broadband stimulus, the National Broadband Plan and USF Reform. ADTRAN finished 2011 with record revenue for the second straight year and is a market leader in broadband, cloud connectivity, carrier Ethernet and mobile backhaul. In 2011, ADTRAN acquired Bluesocket, a developer of virtual wireless LAN solutions and ADTRAN announced plans to acquire Nokia Siemens networks broadband access business. These acquisitions will significantly accelerate ADTRAN’s global expansion and expand its cloud-based solution portfolio. Prior to joining ADTRAN, Gary held executive management positions in a number of high tech start-ups as well as large publicly traded companies in marketing and product line management. He holds an M.B.A. from Duke University and a B.S. in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University.
